Mr. NG graduated in the University of Hong Kong in 1974 with a B.Sc. (Eng.) degree, and obtained the Certificate of Education in 1982, Master of Education in 1988 and Master of Science in Environmental Management in 1992. Since graduation, Mr. NG took up a career in the education field teaching high school Physics, Mathematics and Computer Studies. In 1990 he was appointed by Sik Sik Yuen to establish Ho Ngai College where he widely adopted Information Technology in teaching and learning. He served as principal of Ho Ngai College for 10 years and was transferred to Ho Lap College and later to Ho Fung College until his retirement in 2012.
He is now Chairman of the Teacher Training Committee of the China Candlelight Education Fund. He is also Advisor of the School Partnership and Field Experience Office of the Hong Kong Institute of Education. Mr. NG participates actively in community services, moral and national education as well as affairs concerning youth development. In 2000 he was conferred the Medal of Honour by the Government of HKSAR in recognition of his contributions to the community
