Mr. Arthur Chau is the founder and President of Eastele Technology China Ltd. The company, established in 1989, was successfully acquired by Avnet Inc, the New York Stock listed and Fortune 500 company, in April 2013. Eastele Technology China has now become a member of Avnet Electronic Marketing, the worldwide 18,000 employee technology group, and will continue to promote and develop potential markets in Hong Kong and China.

Mr. Chau is also a founding director of China Candlelight Educational Fund Ltd. Being a member of the Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association, Mr. Chau has made important contributions in liaising with the Association in sponsoring school building projects and bursary awards through the Fund.

Mr. Chau is a very successful businessman who has to take business trips all over the world. Nevertheless, he is also an active participant of the CCEF’s activities, including inspecting school sites, monitoring school projects, sponsoring cultural exchange programmes and engaging in fund-raising.

In recognition of Mr. Chau’s contributions to helping develop educational facilities, especially in moral education in the City of Shaoguan, Guangdong Province, Mr. Chau was awarded Honorary Citizen of Shaoguan City in 2004, and appointed Member of the Shaoguan City Political Consultation Council in 2007.
